Shipping
Small fixtures — sconces, table lamps, pendants under 24 in — ship by express at a flat rate. Large chandeliers are quoted on actual volumetric weight, with crating included. The exact figure is shown before payment. DDP options are available for the US, Canada, the UK and the EU, so there are no surprise customs charges on delivery.
Made-to-order lead time
Standard models ship in 30 days. Custom dimensions and finishes ship in 30–45 days after the drawing is approved. Staged delivery is available on multi-phase projects.
Warranty
Five years on structural metalwork and finish. Two years on electrical components. Anything damaged in transit is replaced without argument when reported within 7 days of delivery with photographs.
Returns
Standard sizes may be returned unused within 30 days. Custom-size and custom-finish orders are made specifically for you and are therefore non-returnable.
Size and installation
Hang the bottom of a dining fixture 30–36 in above the table. In an open foyer, allow a minimum 7 ft 6 in of clearance. Pendant drops are adjustable in 6 in increments at the canopy, and extra rod is supplied free of charge — just tell us your ceiling height in the order notes.
Hardwired installation by a qualified electrician is required. A mounting template and a step-by-step guide ship in the box.
Trade accounts
Spec sheets, CAD blocks, IES photometric files and high-resolution renders are downloadable from every product page for verified trade accounts. Apply once and wholesale pricing becomes visible across the catalogue.

Frequently asked questions
Which voltage and plug types do you ship?
Every fixture is built to order for its destination market. North America ships as 110–120V with UL or ETL components; Europe, the UK, Australia and most of Asia ship as 220–240V with CE components. You tell us the destination country when you order or request a quote, and the build is made for that market rather than adapted afterwards.
Are your fixtures certified for installation in the US?
North American orders are built with UL 1598 / ETL listed components. EU orders are EN 60598 CE marked and RoHS compliant, and SAA is available on request for Australia and New Zealand. If your project requires a specific listing, tell us the jurisdiction in your enquiry and we will confirm what we can supply before you order.
How is shipping charged for large chandeliers?
Small fixtures — sconces, table lamps and pendants under 24 in — ship by express at a flat rate. Large chandeliers are quoted on actual volumetric weight with crating included. The exact figure is shown before you pay. DDP options are available for the US, Canada, the UK and the EU, so there are no surprise customs charges on delivery.
How long does production take?
Standard models ship in 30 days. Custom dimensions and finishes ship in 30–45 days after the drawing is approved. Staged delivery is available on multi-phase projects — we can hold and release by floor or by phase.
Can I order a single sample before committing to a project?
Yes. Trade accounts can order one sample unit per model at the sample rate, credited back against the first project order. Retail customers can order any quantity from one piece.
What is the minimum order quantity for trade pricing?
Trade pricing applies from the minimum order value shown in your approved terms; orders below that value are invoiced at list price. Custom and made-to-order projects are quoted individually and are not subject to a minimum order value.
How do I size a fixture for a dining table, foyer or stairwell?
For a dining table, a chandelier or pendant 24–36 in above the table, with a diameter between one half and two thirds of the table width, is the usual starting point. For a foyer, add the room’s length and width in feet — the total is a reasonable diameter in inches. For stairwells and double-height voids, hang the fixture so the lowest point clears the walking line by at least 7 ft 6 in. Pendant drops are adjustable in 6 in increments at the canopy and extra rod is supplied free of charge; send us your ceiling height and we will confirm the drop on the drawing.
Can you match a finish to our architectural hardware?
Yes. Send a photograph or a physical sample of the finish you are matching — brass, bronze, nickel, blackened steel or a painted RAL colour — and we will match it. Finish matching is one of the most common customisation requests on hospitality and residential projects.
Do you provide CAD blocks and photometric files?
Registered trade accounts can download spec sheets, CAD blocks, IES photometric files and high-resolution renders for every model directly from the product page. Apply once and access stays open across the catalogue.
What is covered by the warranty?
Five years on structural metalwork and finish, and two years on electrical components. Anything damaged in transit is replaced without argument when reported within 7 days of delivery with photographs.
Can custom orders be returned?
Standard sizes may be returned unused within 30 days. Custom-size and custom-finish orders are made specifically for your project and are therefore non-returnable. Sample orders let you verify finish and scale before a project order is placed.
What happens if a fixture arrives damaged?
Photograph the crate and the fixture before installation and email us within 7 days of delivery. Glass, alabaster and crystal components that break in transit are replaced at no charge, and replacement shipments go out on the next available dispatch.
Still need an answer?
Write to sales@xy-lighting.com and a person — not a ticket queue — will reply within one business day. Please include the destination country, ceiling height and roughly how many fixtures you need: with those three things we can usually come back with a real number rather than a question.
